Action Alert: Contact Your Senator Today to Support Farm to School Grant Program Funding!

Senator Lesser is bringing an amendment to the Senate floor to fund the first year of the Farm to School Grant program at $1million in the current COVID recovery funds appropriations bill (S.2564). We need YOUR help to build support for this amendment from the other Senators by asking them to co-sponsor this amendment. This amendment would fund a competitive grant program in the amount of $1M this year to help more schools provide students with healthy, locally grown foods in school meals and support new markets for our farmers and fishermen. We have the opportunity NOW to fund the first year of the grant program and support infrastructure investments, staff training, and educational initiatives that lead to farm to school program success and sustainability.
