Action Alert: Submit testimony in support of the Farm to School Grant Bill

Legislators need to hear from farm to school practitioners, students, families and other advocates about how impactful farm to school programs can be. Share your story about what farm to school looks like in your community and help make the farm to school grant program a reality!

The legislative hearing for the Farm to School Grant Bill has been scheduled for July 17, 2023. We have drafted sample testimony to help you write your letter, but be sure to include your own story. Download sample testimony here. Feel free to refer to or attach this grant program info sheet.

Send your written testimony to:

Jason.Lewis@masenate.gov

Denise.Garlick@mahouse.gov

Use the following subject heading: "Education Committee Testimony (S.243 OR H.558)" & provide your name, organization (if applicable), and phone number in your email.

Please “cc” info@massfarmtoschool.org to let us know you’ve sent in your testimony!

Are you interested in providing live (virtual) testimony during the hearing? If so, you can sign up to do so here. You must sign up for virtual testimony by 1pm on Friday, July 14th. Please let us know if you plan to provide virtual testimony. The hearing involves multiple bills (see the complete list here). If you tell us of your plans to testify we can try to alert you to when our bill is approaching during the hearing so you don’t have to be online for the entire hearing.

We are offering three testimony prep sessions for anyone who wants tips on offering testimony. Sign up for one of the sessions:
